WordPress WP-Syntax Highlighter For Displaying Code Snippets

You're AWESOME! for sharing my post? Thank you so much.

This next plug-in tip should come in quite handy for those of you who like sharing codes on your blog or websites, there are many ways you can go about doing this but I think for the most part this is the easiest way for me and maybe even you.

I like writing tutorials but since the new WordPress 3.4.2 update, things are not working like they should be including the Syntax highlight plug-in, I was using to share codes on my blog.

So I decided too see if there was something better for me to use and I came across a WP-Syntax Highlight plug-in, that works really well.

Plugin provides syntax highlighting in posts and comments.

  • Full GUI mode. No need to switch to code mode and back like in some other plug-ins
  • GUI editor with real-time syntax highligting support integrated (can be disable in settings)
  • GUI button to help with highlighting options. No need to memorize them!
  • Blog-wide default settings for code highlighting. Now you can change the look of all your posts at once!
  • Many options to customize code highlighting (almost full Geshi set)

Step-one ::

The WP-Syntax Highlight plug-in will be integrated right in to your WordPress Visual and HTML editor. Click on the WP-Syntax Highlight tab on the right hand side of your WP-editor

Step-two ::

This will prompt the -Code Syntax option so you can make your selections. Click on the insert tab, to place your source codes.

Step-three ::

Place your codes between the codes syntax short codes.

Step-four ::

Click preview to see your results.

Step-five ::

Click the source code to hide or show your codes.

Step six ::

If you notice in the right hand side of the syntax you’ll have a few options, the first option is to show code only, this will display the source code box- so you can copy them, and the next option is print, then show plugin information.
