Twitter Is The Top Dog When it Comes To Social Media, Why Because it Works

The whole concept on using social media is to expand your brand or increase your online activities correct? Well what services have you used to help you reach your goals online?

I would have to say Twitter, the reason I say this is because twitter has become one of the most used social media app to use by millions because it’s simple and direct.

When ever you view a popular website what are the first social media icons you see? I can tell you, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Surely there are a lot more social media site you can use but do they work for you.

Speaking from experience I use about 10- different  social media sites to help me promote my content on line and those that I’ve listed are the key players in my option and bring in the most traffic and clients for my business and reach my audience.

The proof is in the pudding, example.

How many of you can actually say you have thousands of Facebook friends or YouTube subscribers? Now if you have a Twitter account and use it daily I bet you have a few hundred followers or maybe even a few thousand followers and that’s because twitter is much easier to reach out to individuals and share your content.

Twitter is one of my favorites simply because you can interact much easier then you can on any other social media platform and gain more recognition for the work you do with a simple share.

Simple tactics you can use to gain status

Twitter users have developed short-form syntax to make the most of 140 characters getting their messages across the globe. Here are a few things to help you gain flowers.

• Simple thank you

  One of the best ways to make a new friend on twitter is to always thank that person for retweeting your content, people will see you are real and appreciate them sharing your content.

• Favorite

  You can add some of your favorite people all in one place for easy access; this is a great way to keep track of who influences you and engage with your followers.

• Mention

  Once you’ve signed up and chosen a Twitter username, you and others can mention an account in your Tweets by preceding it with the @ symbol, eg: “Great to connect with you on Twitter @robgoss!”

• Re-tweet

  When you see a Tweet by another user that you want to share, click Re-tweet below it to forward it to your followers instantly. This is a great way to make new friends and followers on Twitter; it’s like shaking someone’s hand as a good jester.

• Message

  If you want to privately Tweet to a particular user who’s already following you, start your Tweet with DM or D to direct-message them, eg: “DM @robgoss what is your order number?”

• Hashtag

  Users often prepend # to words in their Tweets to categorize them for others eg: “Our new products will be arriving this spring http://t.co/link2 #springsale” Think of hashtags as the theme of your Tweet. Users can then click on a hashtag to see other similarly-themed tweets and find yours in search.
